Kanchenjunga South Base Camp Trek
Kanchenjunga South Base Camp Trek
Trek Description
Kanchenjunga North and South base camps trek have their own beauty and specialty. The south base camp trek is shorter, lower in elevation, and less strenuous than the north base camp trek. But this trek has only basic tea house facilities; trekkers won’t be able to enjoy pizza at 4000m altitude like at the north base camp. However, in terms of beauty, trekkers are equally rewarded with typical natural and cultural uniqueness. Kanchenjunga South Base Camp Trek offers everything a trekking enthusiast desires. This trek is the finest way to experience the base camp of the world's third-highest mountain in less than a week. Isn’t it amazing?
This trek will offer you a magnificent view of the treasure of snow: Mt Yalung Kang (8,505m), Mt Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Kanchenjunga Central (8,473m), and South (8,476m), as well as Ratong Peak, the Kabru range, Koktang, and the Yalung glacier. This is also part of the Great Himalaya Trail (GHT), an epic journey of 150 days from east Kangchenjunga to Humla district in the west part of Nepal, approximately 1,700 kilometers.
